  • A nice meal. Took my customers here for dinner which they enjoyed. Sardines and dips were amazing, the octopus was tough along with the steak. Everything else was great.

  • So I have been to multiple locations of this small chain of Greek style tavern restaurant and grill. All in all a good place to eat and wine and dine - depending on your budget. Food is fresh and ingredients as well. Nothing appears to be pre-made and is therefore “a la minute”, made fresh on the spot. So it could take a little time but that’s what appetizers are for right? Service I friendly and accommodating and services know their products. Atmosphere is perhaps the best part of the restaurant on the whole as it “almost” makes you forget (firefly) that you’re out somewhere special and even perhaps a local taverna in Greece somewhere. Well done guys. Now, to the review. Stand outs - the Greek yogurt with Greek honey, cinnamon and sour cherries. As simple as this was it’s fantastic and I always want more of this. The Greek salad was lovely as all ingredients were fresh and it was a reasonable portion as well. Mediterranean Sea bass. Cooked properly and seasoned nicely the fish did not let down, though it was a smallish portion. Greek style pork chop. Though the chop was cooked properly and had some nice charing and crisp outside and moist inside, almost half the chop was fat and bone. The chop size is small to begin with and at $32 I’m sorry, but as much I enjoyed what little there was to eat, I can’t say this was enjoyable as almost half my chop was unable to be eaten. Thankfully there were two spreads and lots of crisp bread as well as the potatoes and veg to fill me up. The salmon was nothing to write home about. It was a safe dish with simple ingredients and cooked properly. Does not stand out nor excite but was satisfying. All dishes came with Yayas roasted Greek style potatoes which are super soft and moist with olive oil and lemon and Greek oregano. Very tasty to say the less as well as a miniature portion of corn on the cob which was surprisingly tasty and three to four thinly slices of carrot. This is especially where the value here is compromised. The prices being charged here are nothing to sneeze at, however for the price one should expect high quality food, cooked properly and to one’s liking, as well as a decent portion and a good amount of sides. Given how cheap potatoes and basic veg is, I find this to be poorly thought out. There are plenty of very good Greek restaurants that are not shy to provide delicious and filling potatoes and veg on the side and plenty of it. I can list numerous but feel it would not benefit. The sides - The Taramosalata was a little fishy and somewhat sour. Maybe it was an off day? As a fan of this appetizer it was a bit of a let down but not a deterrent for me to not eat some anyway - as we patiently waited for the meal to arrive. The kopanisti was on par with your standard appetizer and was a fair portion as was the Taramasalata. The baklava is apparently home made in house and it tasted and appeared home made. The flavouring was a little too subtle for all of us but it was fresh and lots of sweet sauce. The Greek mini donuts had a nice crisp exterior and moist interior and the honey with cinnamon complimented it sufficiently but here too I believe the flavouring was too subtle. Overall this is typically a good restaurant to eat at and normally the food is consistently good. The menu is not too big and could benefit from having a souvlaki option but I suspect the image of this restaurant is intended to be more upscale and perhaps having souvlaki on the menu counters that image.

  • Was visiting Montreal and found this gem! So good we went back twice. We were greeted by a lovely waitress named Alice. She was awesome, very helpful with questions and even offered a few recommendations which I appreciated! The food was exceptionally good. Good variety of items on the menu. I highly recommend the spanakopita, chicken plate, seabass and calamari. Can’t forget the homemade Baklava. Really good, highly recommend! Will be back

  • We recently hosted our group Christmas party at Petros Laurier with about 60 people, and we have nothing but positive things to say! The managers were extremely kind and accommodating, making sure every detail was taken care of and that our group felt welcome from start to finish. The food was truly outstanding—every dish was delicious, and the portions were generous, ensuring no one left hungry. The wine selection complemented the meal perfectly, adding to the overall experience. Thank you to the entire team at Petros Laurier for making our event memorable. We highly recommend this venue for any group gathering or special occasion!
